Firefox 3 Beta 1 Preview
The new Firefox 3 Beta 1 was released today to the public. I instantly downloaded and spent a little time looking at the changes they’ve made in this long awaited version. Let’s take a look at a few first impressions of the Mac version.
The State of Things
It feels as if my blog posts lately have been sporadic at best. I suppose it’s mostly due to all of the changes lately, most of them in my professional life. I decided it was a good time to write another entry and tell about the things that have been going on lately. So here it is.

I’m happy to announce that the Agee Design website V.1 is now live and ready for visitors! I’m very, very proud of the site, as it’s one of the best examples of my work to date. There are all sorts of cool technologies and methodologies at work. You can visit the site at http://www.ageedesign.com.
The work, however, is not quote finished. I’ve still got to design and develop the portfolio section. I’m still playing around with ideas for that, and should make a decision soon. I’ll also be adding more information to the services section to beef that up a bit.
As I mentioned in an earlier vidcast, I don’t plan on doing any heavy marketing anytime soon, just want to take some steps to getting the word out there. A few new projects here and there would be fun.
So, take a look and let me know what you think! Doesn’t it feel like the warm sun is shining in your face?
Content Aware Image Resizing
A friend sent this video to me and I was quite amazed at this new technology. Anyone who has ever worked with images on the web can appreciate how amazing this is!!! More information available at Oh Giazmo!

I’ve been tearing into the Flickr API over the last few days and I’m really excited about the possibilities! If you take a look at the photography section you’ll see some of the fruits of my labor. It doesn’t seem like a major deal to the non-developers our there but it’s actually very exciting to me! I’m able to post my photos on Flickr as I’m used to doing but also have those same photos available here on this website for visitors.
Take a look at the photography section!
I’m considering adding even more features so you don’t have to visit Flickr in order to view details/comments for a photo but I’m not sure whether or not it’s worth it since Flickr has so many great community building tools built right in. But, at least for now you can browse through my photos quickly and easily without leaving this site.
If you’d got any ideas or requests of things you’d like to see integrated feel free to pass them along as a comment and I’ll see what I can do. Does anyone mind having to go to Flickr get more information on a photo?
Read MoreLooking for a way to test your iPhone apps without an iPhone?
If you, like me, are excited about the possibility of creating rich apps for the iPhone but aren’t too excited about paying the high price for the iPhone I’ve got just the solution for you. MarketCircle, creator of the great Mac time tracking software Billings has created iPhoney, an iPhone simulator that allows you to test your web apps on an amazingly realistic looking iPhone interface.
From their website:
“iPhoney is not an iPhone simulator but instead is designed for web developers who want to create 320 by 480 (or 480 by 320) websites for use with iPhone. It gives you a canvas on which to test the visual quality of your designs.
I’ve been contemplating creating an iPhone app since hearing that they would support third party web development on the device but I was reluctant since I wasn’t planning to purchase an iPhone. Now I’ve got a good reason to reconsider!
