Back to School
Posted by Evan in What's new with me?
Nearly two years ago I graduated from the Purdue University programs here in Richmond. My experience with their programs was pretty wonderful. The program was fairly new so there weren’t very many other students in the program when I started. Each sememster there were more and more students coming into the Computer Graphics Technology program until eventually it was a very popular program in the school.
The intention when I graduated was to wait for a sememster or two and then return to school to either get my Bachelors in a graphics-related program or begin work on a 2nd degree in a related field. The time flew by and before I knew it I had been out of school for almost 3 years. It’s time to go back. I registered last year for IU East’s Business program with an emphasis in marketing.
I’m going into talk with an advisor this Friday and I have to say that I’m a little nervous. When I went into college after high school, I was totally blinded by my lack of understanding of the process. I relied on the advisors to tell me what I was supposed to do. I had no idea what the process would be like. Now, having a little better understanding of how the process works I’m trying to be more conscious of the decisions I make and be a little more proactive.
I probably won’t be taking more than 2 classes a sememster for at least one or two semesters, but I’d really like to get back into being a full-time student.
