9/11

As most people know, today is the 2nd anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center towers. I find it odd how different this anniversary is from last years in terms of the emotion attached for most people. Last year I believe Yahoo completely redesigned their color scheme to be all in grayscale. I remember posting something related to 9/11 on Living-Dead.com. This year seems to be a little different, people don’t seem to be making as big a deal about it. Moving on I guess.

Well, not a lot is new. Bible Study Fellowship has started again for the year and I’m very excited about it. We’re studying Isreal and the minor prophets. It’s gonna be a lot of fun and hopefully a great growing experience.

I switched my gym membership to a different gym here in town. It’s much nicer and it has more equipment and better equipment at that. I’ve been working out with my cousin and a personal trainer that he went to high school with. It’s going to yeild great results.

I got a new cd here recently that I just LOVE. It’s by Tears For Fears and it’s called 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection and it’s great. I recently saw a movie called Donnie Darko that happened to have one of their songs in it called Head Over Heals and I loved it, so I bought the cd. Speaking of Donnie Darko, that’s a MUST SEE movie.

Well, I guess that’s it for now…

Back from Kentucky

Beautiful Lake Cumberland in Kentucky

Well, we got back from our trip to Kentucky and everything went well. We mostly sat around the hotel room and watched TV and played Risk, which we bought while we were there. It was a great time.

I didn’t really meet any family at the family reunion that we went to. There were so many people there that most people just stuck with the groups of people that they came with and didn’t try to inter-mingle with the other families that were there. It wasn’t bad though, Kristen, my uncle and I took a walk through the park and down to Lake Cumberland, which is a very nice lake and looked around. It was very humid, but it was still fun. We got back yesterday afternoon and spent the rest of the day relaxing at home in preparation for today.

Well, I’m officially done with my Pizza Hut job as of last Thursday and I have to say that I’m looking forward to having a little extra time during the week. I plan on devoting most of my time to Bible Study (which starts this next Monday) and getting some work done on some personal web projects. It will be really nice.

Last Friday was my 23rd birthday and it really wasn’t that eventful. Kristen and I went out to dinner with my mom and step-dad, but that was about it. We were mostly preparing for our trip to Kentucky.

Well, I think that’s it for now. I’ll write back later.
